First and foremost I would have to say that I have a lot of pet peeves but I've learned to embrace them to such a point that I can't even think of what they are until they happen and I think to myself I was annoyed by that. The one pet peeve I have that really annoys me is when people don't recycle properly and I don't mean people debating whether a straw is recyclable or not.( It is not just in case your wondering). No I'm talking about the people whom put cling wrap and chip bags etc. in the recycling bins. It's clearly NOT recyclable.
At this point I know a few people reading this are rolling their eyes because they know that I am heavily involved in environment projects and are probably sick of my passion. A pet peeve that I apparently do is chew gum really loudly. This is why I try not to chew gum around other people. People also say when I chew gum, eat, or talk my hair moves up and down as I do these activities.
Ha! Doesn't everyone's hair move when s/he chews gum? Geez, now I'm self-conscious...
ReplyDeleteAs for the recycling, good on ya. You remind me to be more attentive to what I can and can't recycle. It drives me nuts when students toss cans in the paper bins and vice versa. Oh well, I guess it's still better than the garbage.

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the recycling thing. I hate it when people try and recycle something that can not be recycled. I work at Tim Hortons, and though I hate to admit it, the coffee cups can NOT be recycled, yet everyday I see them in the recycling bins... Totally peeves me off. There are even pictures showing what can be put in them! Its rediculious.
ReplyDeleteI never would have thought that your hair would move when you talked/ chewed gum etc. As for your recycling pet peeve it sucks that not many people know about that and you taking action about it and standing up for it. go for it, if people don't like it they can go (you can finish this sentence and put in what ever ending you like). well keep up the good work dylan and fight for your beliefs which you have been and don't give up.
